Construction: The fan pull chains  are made from number 6 brass, aluminum, or coated brass, and will last for years, inside or out.  They are not plated and will not rust.  Our gemstone fan pulls are perfect for an outdoor, porch, pool, or patio ceiling fan and will withstand a tropical climate.  They look wonderful and are decorative under any style of ceiling fan, from palm leaf, to Arts and Crafts, to Modern, to Antique or Art Deco.  You can buy them singly or in coordinated pairs and trios.  We have a broad range of prices depending upon the materials used.  All are made of scarce high quality semi-precious gems, like amethyst, tiger eye, fluorite, fossils, turquoise, jaspers and agates, to name a few.  Occasionally we find really wonderful material like large moonstones, aquamarines, or pietersite.  They are made in small groups of no more than 12 and most designs are one-of-kind unique.  I can recommend coordinated pairs and trios from my supply, but cannot reproduce any pull once that batch is sold.  We want our product to be as individual as our customers. 

Designer's statement:  "When I first moved into my house ten years ago, I put ceiling fans in every room because they are such an inexpensive way to condition air and conserve energy.  I wanted my fans to be more than ordinary, and relate to my decor.  So I made the first Fan Gems.  A couple of years ago, I was sitting on my porch trying to come up with an idea for a small business, when I realized I was staring right at it.  With my access to large semi-precious stones from suppliers all over the world, I could give others the same pleasure of having an extremely high quality pull at a reasonable price.  I would happily banish all plastic to the kitchen and bathroom and certainly wouldn't dream of hanging a piece of it in my living room!"
